Established in 1965, The Bed Specialist is a family-run independent business.
We've been selling premium beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture in Yeovil - Somerset for nearly 60 years and some of our local customers who bought from us back in our first years are still loyal today. We love speaking with people who remember purchasing their first bedroom or living room suite from us back in the 60's and 70's. Family is at the very heart of what we do and we're proud that our products have been at the heart of countless family homes for generations.
When Derek and Ruth Lush opened the store in Huish, their vision was to supply a wide range of top-quality furniture with affordable prices and first class honest service. They handed the reins to their daughter Deborah and son in law Martin, and in the years that followed, the company refined its focus to specialise in beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture.
Today, Nicholas (Martin and Deborah's son; Derek and Ruth's grandson) is at the helm; and we're extremely proud to remain a fully independent, family-owned British business.
