Introducing Wool Room
Founded in 2008 by a Bradford wool merchant family. Backed by 150 years of sourcing the finest wool from around the world. Woolroom’s mission was to try and break the frustration surrounding the undervaluing of this incredible natural fibre. Farmers were paid less than the cost of shearing their sheep and over the generations, the wider consumer had forgotten the benefits that wool brings to the home. If you're trying to find new bedding that will help you achieve the perfect nights sleep look no further. Wool is a luxurious, sustainable material that offers a whole host of sleep boosting benefits.

Why Wool?
Wool has regularly been viewed as a product more suitable for colder climeates, difficult to care for and itchy or scratchy to touch or wear. Actually, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. It's cooling when you get hot and warm when you're not. This means you'll be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. It's naturally absorbent so the wool fibres can wick away any excess body moisture and release it into the air. It's naturally hypoallergenic, resists mould and mildew along with static, dirt and dust.
This natural and sustainable fibre can be washed at home due to a special process Wool Room have developed to 'de barb' the fibres* so they dont matt together and shrink when wet in the wash, and when encased in soft organic cotton can be used in the bedroom environment for years of trouble free sleep.

No Chemicals
There is no need for a fire proof chemical treatment in wool as the lanolin in the fibres is naturally fire retardant. Eco-friendly materils are used including the packaging - unbleached, organic cotton covers means a more sustainable product too. Non organic cotton uses 16% of the worlds insecticides and 24% of the worlds pesticides putting our environment at risk of harmful contamination - Wool room is there to reduce that inpact!
